Equipment

  • Measuring Cups
  • pot
  • strainer
  • dispenser

Ingredients

  • 2 cups blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar light or dark
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries, brown sugar, and water.
  • Bring to a gental boil over medium heat, then reduce to a simmer. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The blueberries will burst and the mixture will thicken some.
  • Stir in the lemon juice the last minute if simmering.
  • Pour the mixture through a mesh strainer. Smush the blueberries to get all the liquid out.
  • Let the syrup cool in the fridge before using, about 30-40 minutes.
  • Store in a mason jar or dispensers in the fridge for up to a week.
